IS IT FREEWARE? Yes and Open sourced
WHERE IS THE WEBSITE AT? http://www.virtualbox.org/
IS THE DOWNLOAD LINK EASY TO FIND? Yes
IF THE DOWNLOAD LINK IS HARD TO FIND, INCLUDE IT.
WHAT KIND OF PROGRAM IS IT? Vitalization program
WHAT VERSIONS OF WINDOWS ARE REQUIRED? XP or Vista
DOES IT REQUIRE ANYTHING ELSE? (LIKE .NET)
IS IT A LARGE OR SMALL DOWNLOAD? 13.3MB
IS IT AN EASY PROGRAM TO INSTALL? Just run the installer
DOES IT COME WITH AN UNINSTALLER? Yes
WHERE DID YOU FIND IT? Ran across it at Shell Ext. City site.
WERE YOU LOOKING FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS? Not really at the time but
had played with VMPlayer before and so thought I'd check it out.
WHAT ARE YOU USING IT FOR? Testing out various Linux OSes on my
laptop.
WHAT WERE YOU USING BEFORE YOU FOUND THIS? VMPlayer
HAS IT SOLVED A PROBLEM YOU WERE HAVING? Its good for trying out new
OSes without risking your real machine.
WHAT PROBLEMS HAS IT CAUSED? You will need a pretty new PC with a
Pentium or AMD processor(a dual core is better)and at least
1GB of ram.
IS THE PROGRAM EASY TO USE? It's fairly easy to setup virtual
machines and there is a manual that can help you configure them.
DOES IT COME WITH HELP FILES? Yes
WHAT FEATURES DO YOU LIKE OR NOT LIKE? It will use your CD drive as
it's own and you can add usb support via guest addins for the VM. The
guest add-ins will also let you setup a share folder that will let you
share files between the host and guest OSes. I advise to read the
manual first if you haven't played with virtual software before as it
can be tricky to start with. There is also an active forum that can
help if you run into problems or have questions.
WHAT FEATURES WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE ADDED OR TAKEN AWAY OR CHANGED? I
would like an easier way to get the higher resalutions to work for the
graphics but you can generally get 1024x786 to work from the start.
