Everything - light and fast indexed file search

Last week, I mentioned a fast file search tool called SnowBird. While it's fast, it may not be nearly as fast as a search tool that indexes your hard drive. I don't like tools that are running constantly to achieve the indexing, but the "EveryThing" tool mentioned below looks like it may be a great compromise. It sounds like it will index the files but it may not have to run in the background non-stop. Below is a snippet from a short letter from one of the readers here.

I don't understand why the world hasn't beaten a track to its door, why I haven't read anything about how it works (tho I can read about how Google works any day of the week) or why its author's name hasn't been entered in some cyber hall of fame.

You type in a search filter to limit what files and folders are displayed.
