It is mostly just for fun. The site looks like a pushbutton radio. When you press the Scan button, a random freeware site comes up. Some of the pushbuttons are assigned to specific sites, others don't have site icons attached to them and their assignments change occasionally. Right now, the face of the radio says there are 3,404 freeware sites in its database. I like freeware, and using this site I have come across sites that I might not otherwise have found. I guess it is more fun than useful, if you like random things.
